Ugh. It cost me half a fortune to get the LPG fuel system approved in Germany when I emigrated. Even though it had been installed for 18 years already and passed every yearly inspection in the Netherlands. Note it was eventually approved by the Germans as is, I did not need to change anything.
One EU my ass, the Germans (and many others) still live in some sort of vacuum.
I’m not even going to bother trying to register my engine swapped and restomodded car in Germany. Despite it having its engine swap officially checked and written in the original paperwork in the Netherlands
